fTalk

fTalk is a freeware instant messaging application which resembles Windows Live Messenger except that it connects to Facebook Chat, essentially making it a Facebook for Windows-type application.

The main premise behind fTalk is to bypass logging in to the Facebook web site in order to chat with your buddies. You get notified when friends come online and when you receive messages. fTalk also comes with a bunch of fun emoticons you're able to send to your friends.

When you're not busy chatting on Facebook Chat with fTalk, this IM program will sit quietly in your system tray until you receive notifications directly from the Facebook servers.

Overall, this is a lightweight and easy-to-use chatting application which allows you to keep in touch even when your browser is not active on the Facebook site.
