aMSN is an instant messaging client exclusively compatible with MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. It is the primary alternative project to the original Live Messenger and supports many of the features of MSN.

aMSN sports the same options as the original messenger, yet it lacks many of the advertisements present in the Microsoft product. It fully supports conversations with more than one person, emoticons, winks, sending audio files and drawing stuff. It also include support for plugins and typical administration of conversation windows and administering your contact list.

You can also fetch some free plugins from the developers web site as well as free aMSN skins which can change the overall look of your messenger and conversation windows.

Overall, aMSN is an overall enhancement to the MSN messenger service and a great alternative to the official client available from Microsoft.
