WriteMonkey is a text editor designed for writers who require little distraction, allowing them to focus solely on writing without other applications getting in the way.
The program includes a number of different features and beats Windows Notepad hands-down! It includes a spellcheck, word count, a print function and the option to view documents in either windowed or full screen mode.
WriteMonkey can also be configured to allow the writer to time their usage and provide advisories on when to take a break.
Version 3.3.0 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
