Winamp 5 Lite is the younger cousin to the full installation package of Winamp 5 and provides pretty much all of the best features of Winamp without the extra bloat that has accumulated since Winamp was purchased by AOL.
The main difference between the full installation and Winamp 5 Lite is that the Lite edition contains only the basic features of the famous audio and mp3 player.
The user interface is excellent and even though it takes us back to the earlier days of the Internet, it is still relevant and lightweight. You have the option of switching between skins.
Version 5.666.3516 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
