WinAVI Video Capture is recording software that captures from your Audio/Video device like Blu-ray & DVD players, VHS players connected to your capture card and webcams. Output files can either be saved to the HDD or burnt to a disc. They can also subsequently be played back on home DVD players.

WinAVI can convert video from video capture input and output it for DivX, RealMedia, DVD, Super VideoCD, AVI and Windows Media (WMV). They can be converted with very little quality loss, depending on the format.

This program costs $30. If you use the free version all recordings have writing about the product in the middle of the screen. Not so much shareware as a deliberately sabotaged trial version.

WinAVI isn't a free program, you guys are right. You have to pay for a registration code This video capture program is pretty flexible though and allows you to record from many different sources.
