TorChat is a basic and portable freeware instant messaging application which allows you to chat securely with other people. The TorChat network is peer-to-peer with a decentralized design, similar to Gnutella. This decentralized network gives you high anonymity and being portal, does not leave any traces on your system.
This is actually the Windows version, but the developer also provides a version for Linux.
Version 0.9.9.553 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
