SockPlayer is a fully-fledged media player that supports all popular video and audio formats.
As you might expect, this media player has all of the same controls you would expect such but it also includes a ton of other things which can make it useful like rotate, mirror, flip, de-interlace as well as an audio equalizer.
SockPlayer also includes a video capture tool which can record your entire desktop for specific periods of 5, 60 or 300 minutes or for an unspecified amount of time (unlimited based on disk space). Other video capture capabilities include capture from webcam or another video source connected.
Version 2.1.4 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
