QuickTime Alternative is a free and very lightweight program which can be used to play QuickTime MOV and QT files without the need to install that bloated and often buggy software by Apple. It supports several web browsers like IE and Firefox.
The codec included in the package includes several popular open source projects including Windows Media Player Classic and the required QuickTime Codecs, DirectShow filter and the relevant plug-ins for your web browser.
The installation package does not contain any interface as it really is just a codec pack enabling the playback of MOV files.
Version 3.2.2 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
