About this software:
PlaceEngine is a core technology that enables a device equipped with Wi-Fi such as a laptop PC or smart phone to determine its current location.
It can be used in conjunction with web sites that provide local area information to gain easy access to nearby services. The PlaceEngine Client is available for everyone at no charge.
PlaceEngine's positioning database works mostly for locations in Japan but is currently being developed to include other locations around the globe.
Version 2.0.20 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
