Blackbox PS3 FTP Server Review:
Homebrew FTP Server for PlayStation by Blackbox
The Blackbox FTP server for the Playstation 3 system is a homebrew application which turns your PS3 system into a full FTP server, giving you access to both internal and external hard drive. It allows you to upload and update PKG files on the system; the first step in turning your Playstation 3 console into a personal computer running all various types of homebrew available.
Installing the FTP server is easy, first requiring you to use a USB stick or portable hard drive to get it onto the system and a second step by installing the PKG file under "Install PKG file", depending on your custom firmware version.
After installed, the Blackbox FTP Server can be run from the games menu. The program will run in the background of the system and you'll be given access to your PS3 system via FTP without a username or password. The IP address you should connect to will normally be displayed on the screen. The actual location of the Blackbox FTP Server will depend on your router type. If the FTP server does not display your IP address, please consult your router configuration to figure out the IP address of Blackbox.
The program normally runs without issue, but trying to connect with multiple connections may slow down or even crash the server, so setting a maximum of 1 concurrent connection in your FTP client should solve that.

After completing the download, you should extract the files to a directory and run the executable file inside to install it (usually setup.exe).

I would really like to have it run as a service, just load it on startup, then I can watch a movie while I upload a few gigabytes to my ps3 at the same time.

It'd be cool to be able to run blackb0x as a service, but at the moment its not possible. The PS3 isn't exactly known as a multi-tasking environment -- there's not enough RAM.

This version of blackbox is unsigned and will run on firmware version 3.41.

i installed the blackbox on my ps but it doesn't gave me the IP , so wt shall i do ?
