Nitro PDF is a freeware PDF reader which also integrates many different PDF editing and creation tools.
When you first run the installer for this application, it will offer to take over PDF viewing and thus installing a plugin for your web browser. Since this step is option, you can safely decline. If you do install its plugin, it will become your default online PDF reader.
Version 5.5.9.2 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
