NextPVR is an excellent "Personal Video Recorder" which supports a long list of different video input types such as DVB-S, DVG-T, DVB-C and others. It may also be used to various TV input hardware and HDMI capture devices.
The user interface of NextPVR is probably best used on larger displays thanks to its sparse layout and big fonts. It provides access to a TV Guide for making recordings of programs and can convert them to popular video formats for the PC and portable devices like AVI files using DivX or XviD encoding.
Version 4.0.4 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
