NewzCrawler is one of the best commercial news aggregator supporting RSS and Atom feeds. It goes a bit further and can also display news from other sources like web pages and Usenet servers.
The overall interface of NewzCrawler can be compared to popular email clients like Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook, but displays the news obtained from web sources (like CBC, BBC, TechCrunch, etc) in a browser window where you might expect email messages to appear.
Though the idea of NewzCrawler has been adopted by operating systems such as Windows Vista and Windows 7, it displays news in a compact interface and comes absolutely packed with an amazing suite of features and a great interface designed with usability in mind.
NewzCrawler 1.9 is a shareware program and can be used as a demo to try the software until the free trial period has ended. A full version of the program is available after the trial period ends.
