Growl for Windows is a useful and popular system notification utility which started off as a project for users of the Mac OS X. It has since been ported to Windows as a separate project, integrating many of the features which made it popular among Mac users.
The program is essentially a reminder/notification program which provides you with updates from a variety of different sources such as Firefox, Foobar2000, Rainmeter, Songbird, Outlook and many other popular desktop programs.
The design and layout of Growl for Windows is modern and does not require too much time to get the hang of.
Version 2.0.9.1 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
