For those of you who spend a lot of time in front of your PC and often get distracted by everything that's going on in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word, then you may want to give FocusWriter a go.
With FocusWriter, you are given several fewer features and are able to focus solely on the text you're inputting. That is, it doesn't necessarily support all of the graphical features of popular document formats like Word and the layout of the program focuses more on writing text than formatting it with a million icons and an annoying bouncing paperclip.
FocusWriter is designed to be lightweight and free of distractions.
Version 1.8.6 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
