The concept behind this handy utility is brilliant and you can't go wrong when the speed and stability of current tools and drivers is improved.
Motorola's current Mobile Phone Tools software is sluggish and unintuitive; with Droid Explorer, you can browse the filesystem on your Motorola Milestone or Droid (or most Motorola Android Phones) easily with a similar interface to Windows Explorer.
The one thing that seemed annoying about this program is it runs in the background and seems to hog memory even though the service isn't being used. There is a simple remedy and that is running the service only when required.
This tool is useful for developers, hackers and normal users alike: it just offers so much more flexibility than the drivers Motorola offers. The community and developers behind it are also quite active. New hacks and features are released in most updates.
