Digsby is a successfully implemented multi-protocol instant messenger client which serves as an alternative to having multiple different clients running to access your friends lists and to chat with your friends on multiple networks.
Digsby currently supports a multitude of different instant messaging networks and can access your buddy and friends lists from AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), MSN (Windows Live Messenger), ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber and even now functions as a Facebook Chat client.
As an instant messenger, Digsby can perform multiple tasks, depending on the network you are logged into. With Digsby, you can rename your contacts on the fly, combine your friends if they have multiple different sign-ins from different networks, view and change your own status, view others' statuses. You will also be given the opportunity to customize the look and feel of the client as displayed in our screenshot.
Apart from being a fully-fledged IM client, Digsby can also access your email accounts from within the client and it supports all of the major email providers such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, your POP3 and IMAP accounts and AOL email accounts. Digsby also integrates support or social networking sites and can give you full access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. Support for LinkedIn accounts has also been introduced.
Furthermore, Digsby can synchronize itself on different systems, so you can take your settings and setup with you from PC to PC wherever you go.
