DarkWave Studio is a real-time audio editor which neatly packs its features away in a tabbed interface. The main interface includes a virtual sound studio which supports the addition and removal of several types of free plugins and modules.
In addition to full support for VST and ASIO, DarkWave Studio comes with eight different modules including a MIDI input, an audio mixer and a percussion synthesizer.
The Pattern Editor tab allows you to create patterns which control the instruments in the studio, while the sequencer tab includes all of the patterns of which you've created with DarkWave Studio.
Version 5.9.4 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
