Bandizip

Produced by the developers of the popular program BandiCam, BandiZip is a freeware file compression utility which supports many of the most popular compression formats such as WinZIP, WinRAR, WinACE, 7-Zip among other types of compression archives including those found in setup installation packages like CAB files.

BandiZip also specializes in the compression of multimedia file formats which in some cases, may take up more space as a compression archive than they would as plain files -- their algorithm allows you to choose which compression format to use in order to save space. BandiZip also features some exclusive technology used to improve the speed of creating archives and decompressing them.

Overall, BandiZip functions as expected and the layout of the program is pretty standard among software in this category. What isn't standard, though, is a company producing this type of program as a freeware application and for that they receive our applause. Worth noting is BandiZip's Unicode support.
