Auto Shutdown Pro is an application for Windows which turns the system off after a certain period of time or based on other factors which the administrator may configure.
The program can force Windows to shutdown the system, put it to sleep or enter it into hibernation mode based on a list of different options such as CPU idle/busy, component heat levels and duration of use.
While the program was designed mainly for parents, and in the words of the developer, neighbourhood children who drop by to use the computer, it also has other applications useful for those using mobile computers.
In terms of parents, the program can be used to prevent children from using the computer after bedtime or during time scheduled for homework.
