AlternateStreamView is a small and portable application by NirSoft which can detect and locate alternate data streams on your system.
What an alternate stream is, is a part of the NTFS filesystem. While most of them are harmless, some malicious applications can take advantage of them and execute them without the knowledge of the owner.
This program will scan your system for them and allow you to delete them or export them to an external file like HTML, XML or CSV.
Version 1.58 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
