Looking for a program that can do most, if not all of what ACDSee can do but without the huge pricetag? Enter Ai Picture Utility.
A powerful image management solution, Ai Picture Utility is a freeware image viewer and organizer with several useful built-in features, keeping your digital photos neatly organized with the option to correct images with several filters and tools.
Ai Picture Utility is a small package packed with a long list of features. Starting off is the basic image viewer. This software will display all of your photos as thumbnails on the (default) right hand in an explorer-like window while the left hand displays a larger version of the image. From the larger display window, AiPic offers an array of image enhancement tools such as improving the natural look of your photos, boosting colour saturation and colour balance and red-eye removal among others.
The editing tools included with this software are by far too numerous to cover here. Enhancements, flipping and rotating, resizing and its support for scripting are some of the main points. Many of the functions this program performs are comparable to expensive programs like ACDSee, yet this Canadian company gives this software away for free!
Like rivals in the commercial arena, this program can also create professional-looking DVDs of your photo collections you can distribute to friends and family.
Thanks to full support for multicore processors, AiPic excels at speed and performance. We actually just couldn't believe that a program with so many features was just so speedy, especially considering the fact that we reviewed ACDSee Picture Viewer only a couple weeks ago.
Please note that while Ai Picture Utility is distributed as freeware, commercial users are required to register their copy after a reasonable trial period (IE. 30 days).

Applied Insights provides you with a WinZip/SevenZip Archive file. Installing from Zip files is easy and can usually be done by double clicking the EXE file in the archive with programs like WinZip or Seven Zip. Alternatively, you can extract the setup and installation files to a directory of your choice and run them from there.
