AVI ReComp is a tool which allows you to resize AVI video files and add, remove, modify certain settings. In addition, you may also use it to add subtitles, logos or fix horizontal black bars.
The program is indeed rather simple and easy-to-use and uses open source applications in order to complete its tasks. Alas, this isn't a commercial application and completely free.
Version 1.5.6 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
