Faking cancer becomes a popular past-time in Canada.

Do you remember the cancer faker who was recently convicted of fraud over $5000? Well, as horrible as it may sound, there was just another Ontario woman who has played the same game. 21-year-old Jessica Leeder was arrested on November 5 2010 for fraud, according to police.

The Timmins, ON police said the woman doesn't have cancer, nor did she ever. Apparently, she faked having stomach and lung cancer to scam local business and individuals out of donations of cold, hard cash.

Leeder is currently in police custody pending a bail hearing. The local police in Timmins believe there could be additional victims of fraud in this second Ontario cancer-related scam.

Are cancer scams Canada's new cancer? Timmins police Sergeant Danny Charest told CTV "we haven't had anything occur like this, as far as I know." Hopefully it's just a fluke that two similar cases have made it to the news in such a short time.
