Information: Martin David Kamen (1913-2002) co-discovered carbon-14 in 1940 with Samuel Ruben. In 1944 he was expelled from the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory as a security risk. During his later career he focused on the biochemical processes of photosynthesis. In 1961
