WinAVI's YouTube Downloader application is a freeware and all-in-one YouTube video download and converter. It is mainly designed for use by those wishing to download videos they have found on YouTube and wish to transfer the files to a format compatible with portable devices like the PlayStation Portable, iPhones and other iDevices like the iPad2, mobile phones running Android and many others.

The program integrates with your web browser and gives you the option to download the YouTube files when you visit a video page. It basically involves a couple of clicks from within the web page to download the file and then convert it to the format that you choose.

Unfortunately, YouTube Downloader is *not* compatible with other web sites like DailyMotion or Vimeo so the application is indeed pretty basic. Another thing to note is that WinAVI's YouTube application sometimes has trouble working, especially with the new version of the YouTube web site. Hopefully this will get cleared up in the next release.
