WhereIsIt

WhereIsIt is a professional cataloging software that organizes your movies, videos, audio collection, downloaded files, photos, documents and other files into databases.

It searches for files on your local disks, reads and catalogs your removable media, saves all details of added files including size, date, attributes, category, tags, description, CRC hash number, executes file management operations, launches and displays the content of the selected files.

Selected items can be opened in Windows Explorer, cataloged data can be compared with the original files, file description can be imported from external sources.

The application executes advanced search operations with regular expressions and also supports logical expressions and many criteria when searches for a file name in advanced search mode.

Any selected file (executables, multimedia files and documents) can be launched, multiple views are available including Thumbnails view, data entries can be sorted by any field.

WhereIsIt manages compressed data as normal folders, it defines external programs for file extensions or uses its own internal viewers, executes automatic virus scanning (if any antivirus is specified), displays a ribbon-style menu, customizes colors and fonts, includes a large collection of plugins and modules and is available in several languages.

Report Generator creates custom detailed reports with selected columns and exports them to TXT, XLS, HTML, RTF, CSV, etc. formats. Other features of the application send the database via email, customize catalog groups and change the display settings.

Limitations:
- The demo version of the software can be tested 30 days from the installation date. A cataloged file is limited to 2GB, only one catalog can be opened at a time, the auto-loading catalog feature is disabled, this feature can be used only by registered users.

The unregistered version displays a watermark on every report, tips cannot be disabled and remind the user about registration. Other feature disabled is the script language which can perform special tasks on program startup.
