Total Commander

Total Commander is a Windows file manager and possible Windows Explorer replacement produced by Swiss company Ghisler Software. It comes bundled with many extra features which go above and beyond what a file manager normally does, namely also serving as an FTP manager/client, a great idea for those whose job requires them to keep up with file versions on remote servers. Total Commander also includes file comparison tool, handy for quickly knowing which version of a file is current in whatever project you may be working on.

What file manager would be complete without support for archives? Total Commander takes care of that with support for ZIP, RAR, TAR, GZ, ACE files and more. It even features a full-text search engine and supports 40 languages.

Version 7.56 introduces a feature that is standard in Windows XP and above and that is running executable files as an administrator, handy if you're normally logged in as a non-admin user.
