Livestation

Livestation is an Internet web site which features televison programming from across the planet, though with strong favouring towards French-language programming from France (the default is from France24, of which CBC/Radio-Canada is a provider of television programs).

With that said, Livestation is a free online television tuner which lists television streams from across the planet. It includes streams from many different countries and is definitely comprehensive. Unlike other software downloads in this category, Livestation does indeed have agreements with many of the streams which they provide, including agreements with BBC World, Live CNN streams and The Discovery Channel. As of yet, there are no official agreements with live Canadian television.

Interaction with the Livestation application is facilitated by their web site as you may add channels to your queue by using their service.

Livestation is now integrated with social media. Twitter is now something which has been integrated with the service where users are able to post updates with screenshots. Livestation also includes a chat client, though it isn't used very often by the majority of users.

The quality of service offered by this company is astounding, especially when you compare it to the other software apps which claim to provide "1500 channels".

As you can tell, most of the telelvision stations are not network TV like NBC, CBS or ABC... however if you want to check out news and information, Livestation provides.
