Change Folder Icons is a tool for modern versions of the Windows operating system which can quickly and easily change the icon of folders by hitting the right-click button and selecting the "Change Folder Icon" from the shell content dialog box. It gives users the opportunitely to even change system folder icons such as those for My Computer, Network Connections the Recycling Bin, Control Panel and System Search.

The Change Folder Icons application also has the useful ability to grab and extract icons from system files such as EXE, DLL, LIB, ICL among others. Change Folder Icon can save extracted icons to ICO files, ICLs, BMP, GIF and even PNG files for use on the web.

CFL actually changes the icon setting for the individual file, so moving those folders and files to other PCs will retain the icon you've set with this free download.
