Ares Galaxy is a p2p filesharing application which opens users up to the world of online filesharing. Users share files across the network and by logging in, you're also sharing files. The legality of sharing copyrighted content is in legal limbo right now in Canada, but most agree it is grey market at best. Canadian Content does not condone unauthorized distribution of copyrighted content.

Ares galaxy offers an integrated media player and access to millions of different types of files like avis, divx, xvids and other various movie formats. The software has also become quite popular for the distribution of MP3 files.

Ares Galaxy also offers uses the ability to start or participate in chat rooms, supposed -- but not very effective -- anti-virus scanning against malicious applications and a user friendly interface. It also comes with an 'enhanced' media library manager for organizing files on your PC. Lastly and for those concerned about Usage-Based-Billing, Ares comes with a bandwidth control feature.
