Sony Ericsson Company Overview: Sony Ericsson is a joint venture established in 2001 by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. Both companies have ceased making their own mobile phones. The reason for this merger is to combine Sony's global consumer marketing expertise with Ericsson's technological leadership in the communications sector.
Audio Playback: The Sony Ericsson J210 does not come with an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones, which means you can download simple MIDI files from the Internet and upload them through your phone, or simply download them via GRPS (if GRPS is built in). We do not recommend purchasing polyphonic ringtones from pay-per-use services such as television commercials, because the J210 is capable of receiving them as MIDI files which are common on the Internet.
Video and Picture Taking: The Sony Ericsson J210 is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.
Messaging and Internet: The Sony Ericsson J210 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service. On top of sending messages, the Sony Ericsson J210 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.
The Sony Ericsson J210 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.
Connectivity and Interactivity: With the J210, you can use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a USB cable to connect to and interact with other devices.
