Sony Ericsson Company Overview: Sony Ericsson is a joint venture established in 2001 by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. Both companies have ceased making their own mobile phones. The reason for this merger is to combine Sony's global consumer marketing expertise with Ericsson's technological leadership in the communications sector.
Audio Playback: The Sony Ericsson J100c does not come with an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones, which means you can download simple MIDI files from the Internet and upload them through your phone, or simply download them via GRPS (if GRPS is built in). We do not recommend purchasing polyphonic ringtones from pay-per-use services such as television commercials, because the J100c is capable of receiving them as MIDI files which are common on the Internet.
Video and Picture Taking: The Sony Ericsson J100c is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.
Messaging and Internet: The Sony Ericsson J100c is not capable of accessing the Internet, due to the limitations of GPRS access. Unfortunately, there is no MMS capability. On top of sending messages, the Sony Ericsson J100c is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.
Connectivity and Interactivity: With the J100c, you can't really do much when connecting to other devices, since it's USB capabilities are limited to nill.
