Siemens Review

The A75 review is a mobile produced by Siemens. Siemens cellular telephones were very early mobile phones, produced by Siemens AG. The company created the first phone with a colour screen, (the S10, with 4 different colours - red, green, blue and white - that could be displayed), the first "outdoor" phone (the S10 Active, with enhanced shock, dust and splash protection), the first slider phone (the SL10), the first phone with real GPS support (the SXG75) and probably the first phone with an MP3 player and external memory card support (MultiMediaCard) (Siemens SL45). In 2005 the Taiwanese company BenQ acquired the financially bleeding mobile phone subsidiary from Siemens and gained the exclusive right to use Siemens trademark for 5 years.

A75 Audio Playback

The Siemens A75 does not come with an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones, which means you can download simple MIDI files from the Internet and upload them through your phone, or simply download them via GRPS (if GRPS is built in). We do not recommend purchasing polyphonic ringtones from pay-per-use services such as television commercials, because the A75 is capable of receiving them as MIDI files which are common on the Internet.

A75 Video and Picture Taking

The Siemens A75 is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.

Siemens A75 Messaging and Internet Capabilities

Siemens's A75 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service. On top of sending messages, the Siemens A75 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.

The Siemens A75 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.

Connectivity and Interactivity

With the A75, you can't really do much when connecting to other devices, since it's USB capabilities are limited to nill.

The phone is equipped with , voice commands , speaker phone . Accessories are available from several retailers stocking Siemens products.

How do you rate the A75?

This mobile phone should work on the Canadian networks of Rogers Wireless and Microcell Fido given there is no sim-lock currently activated.

Additionally, this mobile phone should also function on the US-American mobile networks of Cingular and T-Mobile and International GSM networks.
