Motorola V66

The Motorola V66 is a 2001 model mobile phone which is compatible with Rogers Wireless and Microcell Fido. It operates on the frequencies of GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, For this phone to be able to operate on Rogers Wireless or Microcell Fido, if not purchased at the respective retailers, one must make sure this phone does not have a sim-lock and ensure it is unlocked. Additionally, if you are looking to use this cell phone on T-Mobile, AT&T or other USA GSM carriers, there may also be no carrier-specific sim-lock.. There is currently no V66 user manual available. Although a search of the Motorola web site might yield some results. A firmware flash update is available from Motorola's web site in PDF format and new or replacement chargers are available at most stores featuring Motorola products in Canada including Wireless Source, Bell Mobility stores and Rogers Wireless locations. The V66 review is a mobile produced by Motorola. Motorola started as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation in 1928. The name Motorola was adopted in 1947, but the word had been used as a trademark since the 1930s. Founder Paul Galvin came up with the name Motorola when his company started manufacturing car radios. A number of early companies making phonographs, radios, and other audio equipment in the early 20th century used the suffix "-ola", the most famous being Victrola; there was also a company that made jukeboxes called Rockola, and a film editing device called a Moviola.

Motorola's V66 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. Unfortunately, there is no MMS capability. On top of sending messages, the Motorola V66 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.

The Motorola V66 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.

With the V66, you can't really do much when connecting to other devices, since it's USB capabilities are limited to nill.
