
The Motorola Q is a 2005 model mobile phone which is compatible with Rogers Wireless and Microcell Fido. It operates on the frequencies of GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, For this phone to be able to operate on Rogers Wireless or Microcell Fido, if not purchased at the respective retailers, one must make sure this phone does not have a sim-lock and ensure it is unlocked. Additionally, if you are looking to use this cell phone on T-Mobile, AT&T or other USA GSM carriers, there may also be no carrier-specific sim-lock.. There is currently no Q user manual available. Although a search of the Motorola web site might yield some results. Motorola's Q is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service. On top of sending messages, the Motorola Q is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.
The Motorola Q comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.
With the Q, you can use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a USB cable to connect to and interact with other devices. There is also a memory card slot for the miniSD.
