LG P5

The LG P5 is a 2004 model mobile phone which is compatible with Rogers Wireless and Microcell Fido. It operates on the frequencies of GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, For this phone to be able to operate on Rogers Wireless or Microcell Fido, if not purchased at the respective retailers, one must make sure this phone does not have a sim-lock and ensure it is unlocked. Additionally, if you are looking to use this cell phone on T-Mobile, AT&T or other USA GSM carriers, there may also be no carrier-specific sim-lock.. There is currently no P5 user manual available. Although a search of the LG web site might yield some results. A firmware flash update is available from LG's web site in PDF format and new or replacement chargers are available at most stores featuring LG products in Canada including Wireless Source, Bell Mobility stores and Rogers Wireless locations. The LG P5 does not come with an MP3 player.

The LG P5 does have a camera. The LG P5 can record videos and play them back.

LG P5 Messaging and Internet Capabilities

LG's P5 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service. On top of sending messages, the LG P5 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.

The LG P5 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.

Connectivity and Interactivity

With the P5, you can use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a USB cable to connect to and interact with other devices.
