BlackBerry Company Overview: The BlackBerry is a wireless handheld device introduced in 1999 which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, web browsing and other wireless information services. It was developed by Research In Motion (RIM) and delivers information over the wireless data networks of cellular telephone companies. BlackBerry made headway in the marketplace by first concentrating on e-mail. RIM currently offers BlackBerry e-mail service to non-BlackBerry devices, such as Palm Treo, through BlackBerry Connect software.
Audio Playback: The BlackBerry 7100v does not come with an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones, which means you can download simple MIDI files from the Internet and upload them through your phone, or simply download them via GRPS (if GRPS is built in). We do not recommend purchasing polyphonic ringtones from pay-per-use services such as television commercials, because the 7100v is capable of receiving them as MIDI files which are common on the Internet.
Video and Picture Taking: The BlackBerry 7100v is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.
Messaging and Internet: The BlackBerry 7100v is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service. On top of sending messages, the BlackBerry 7100v is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.
The BlackBerry 7100v comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.
Connectivity and Interactivity: With the 7100v, you can use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a USB cable to connect to and interact with other devices.
The phone is equipped with , speaker phone , 4plus32 MB of ram and QWERTYkeyboard.
