The Alcatel OT 756 is a 2004 model mobile phone which is compatible with Rogers Wireless and Microcell Fido. It operates on the frequencies of GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, For this phone to be able to operate on Rogers Wireless or Microcell Fido, if not purchased at the respective retailers, one must make sure this phone does not have a sim-lock and ensure it is unlocked. Additionally, if you are looking to use this cell phone on T-Mobile, AT&T or other USA GSM carriers, there may also be no carrier-specific sim-lock.. There is currently no OT 756 user manual available. Although a search of the Alcatel web site might yield some results. A firmware flash update is available from Alcatel's web site in PDF format and new or replacement chargers are available at most stores featuring Alcatel products in Canada including Wireless Source, Bell Mobility stores and Rogers Wireless locations. The OT 756 review is a mobile produced by Alcatel. Alcatel SA is a global company, headquartered in France that provides hardware, software and services to telecommunications service providers and enterprises. Alcatel sells equipment for mobile and fixed voice communication networks, data networks and television and video delivery. Moreover it features a Transport Solutions Division that sells railway signalling equipment and automatic train protection systems for urban and mainline railways.

OT 756 Audio Playback

The Alcatel OT 756 includes an MP3 player. This phone comes with built in polyphonic ringtones, which means you can download simple MIDI files from the Internet and upload them through your phone, or simply download them via GRPS (if GRPS is built in). We do not recommend purchasing polyphonic ringtones from pay-per-use services such as television commercials, because the OT 756 is capable of receiving them as MIDI files which are common on the Internet.

Alcatel's OT 756 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. With this phone, you may also send MMS, or Multimedia Message Service. The phone is also able to use EMS, or Enhanced Message Service. On top of sending messages, the Alcatel OT 756 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.

The Alcatel OT 756 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.

Connectivity and Interactivity

With the OT 756, you can use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a USB cable to connect to and interact with other devices.
