Information: One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pharos (Lighthouse) of Alexandria is believed to have been constructed around 285 BC. A tower of over 100 metres tall, it stood on the tip of Pharos Island in the harbor of Alexandria in Egypt.
